police_academyThe State Police Youth Week is sponsored in partnership with the American Legion, Department of PA and the PA State Police.  It is held in June at Scotland School for Veterans Children on Scotland, PA.

It is a residential camp, introducing students in al procedures of law enforcement.  Some law enforcement aspects presented are: physical training, self-defense, forensics, canine, bomb squad, SWAT team, radar and marksmanship.

Applicants can be of any gender and must have completed the 10th and 11th grade.  Candidates must be physically fit and have a good academic record.

Cadets have the opportunity, through an essay to win a $1,000 scholarship.
