Legion College Program

The Pennsylvania American Legion College events enhances knowledge and appreciation of The American Legion, and teaches the core values and contributions of the organization, its Auxiliary, Sons of The American Legion and many subordinate programs.

Legion College is a full day event that has a general course that provides information on legion program & activities.  There are also break out events including a membership and adjutant course to cover membership, various forms and other information adjutants need to know.  The Auxiliary, SAL and Legion Riders courses show different aspects for both organizations. An all-day class that gives the insight on filing claims and assisting veterans in need is the service officer course.  Every post needs a chaplain and the chaplain course will explain the obligations and duties within the post for the chaplain. The home association course will educate attendees on bookkeeping, IRS, 990 & other forms, SGOC and the home association’s relationship to the post.
