Poppy Corsages are needed for Awareness Assembly.

Department President Barb will be attending the Awareness Assembly (Feb 28 – March 3) in Washington DC, let the members not send her empty handed. While attending meetings and seminars, the National Poppy contest will be taking place.

Corsages will be displayed for the attendees and the public.  Visitors can vote upon these corsages.  Each vote is a $1.00 donation.  The proceeds will go to help fund The Creative Arts Festival.  The corsage that receives the most votes will be used at Girls Nation in July.  Also, the National Poppy Chairman will be choosing a corsage.  This corsage will be worn by the national President Rita Navarrete in a photo opportunity.

Department Poppy chair, Thelma Fairbanks  and VA&R Chairman, BJ Lysic are urging Units and members to create a poppy corsage and/or send  to the Department of PA’s corsage receives the most votes.
