Hey Mom and Dad,

With the influx of troops to Afghanistan we are running short of some items at the Red Cross. Since we are a volunteer based organization we do not have the financial resources to meet every soldier’s needs as we would like. I was wondering if you two could put together a care package of stuff that I could hand out to the troops. Dad, maybe you could talk to your VVA buddies to see if they would also like to donate some items as well. I will guarantee that everything sent over here will go to the troops because I will be the one handing it out!!! Here are the top five most desired items:

1. Phone Cards – HUGE!!!!

2. Beef Jerky or Slim Jims (the small individually wrapped ones like you can get in bulk at Costco because they can put it in their pocket while they go on patrol.)

3. Wet Naps

4. Disposable Razors

5. Socks/Underwear (Small, Medium, or Large)

 Thanks for the help guys… I love you and everything is going well. Give the puppies a treat from me!
